This is a research center that belongs to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Its mission is to generate information, research, analysis and knowledge in the economic field such as business management to satisfy the demand and the interest of the industry and general society.

Center for Foreign Languages
The Center for Foreign Languages administers the language programs that are impart within all the degrees that Espol offers. In the case of the English program it is designed for the students to reach the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Additionally, the center offers as a complimentary subject, french and chinese.

Center for Rural Research
The Center for Rural Research specializes in the economic and social study of the rural area with an emphasis in agriculture and the management of natural resources. The research developed in this center contributes to the generation of knowledge and supply information to make decisions in agricultural policy, through the analysis of the behavior of the agents around the local and global rural economies, using the latest methodlogies of Economics and Sociology.

LABORATORIES
Laboratory of Experimental and Behavioral Economics-LEE
The Laboratory of Experimental and Behavioral Economics studies a variety of aspects of the economic decision making process. The research of this laboratory includes the impact of social norms, causes and effects of corruption and posible solutions, as well as the effects of the power differentiation in the contribution to public goods. Is also an instrument for the academic community that provide experimental tools to strengthen the learning process. Its mission is to accomplish researches of high impact in the experimental and behavioral economics field to contribute to the understanding of socio-economic phenomenons and to provide with policies as solutions based on evidence to the public and private sector.
